Assistant Research Professor and Associate Director for Broader Impacts
Knowledge Exchange for Resilience

Tempe Campus

Lora's research focuses on spatio-temporal and socio-demographic inequalities in exposure to diverse forms of insecurity, and the consequences thereof for life chances. Specifically, she studies inequalities associated with experiencing economic insecurity, job loss and precarious work, foreclosure and eviction, and food insecurity, with particular attention to the ways in which crisis events elucidate, create, and transform such disparities. In addition to contributing to the scholarly cannon, Lora conducts a wide range of community-engaged research and produces public-facing content, with the goal of building community resilience in Maricopa County.
