David Adame serves as President and CEO of Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), one of the nation’s largest community development corporations.
Born and raised just south of downtown Phoenix, Mr. Adame began his career at CPLC after graduating with a degree in business. After two years, he left the organization to craft an impressive career in the private sector, including extensive experience in real estate and development. He served in leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Fannie Mae’s Arizona Partnership Office, McCormack Baron & Salazar, and the Phoenix Office of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC).
Upon his return to CPLC, Mr. Adame served as COO and CFO before taking on the position of President & CEO. Under his leadership, CPLC has experienced significant growth and expansion in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, California, Texas, and Mexico. Recently, CPLC funded more than $7.6 billion in PPP loans supporting nearly 500,000 small businesses and solopreneurs across all 50 states, D.C., Guam and Puerto Rico.
Mr. Adame has served on numerous boards, including the Arizona-Mexico Commission, Arizona Housing Commission, AARP Foundation, Community Reinvestment Fund USA, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, NALCAB and UnidosUS. Recent honors include Honorary Doctorates from the University of Arizona and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
