Bio

Natalia da Silveira Arruda is a Ph.D. Student in Urban Planning at the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning (SGSUP) and a Graduate Research Assistant at Knowledge Exchange for Resilience at Arizona State University. Natalia has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre/Brazil, a one-year exchange at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture Paris La Villette, Paris/France, and a master’s degree in Territorial, Urban, Environmental, and Landscape Planning at Polytechnic of Turin, Turin/Italy. Natalia co-founded the YouthMappers’ chapter Geolab at the University of Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia, and was YouthMappers Regional Ambassador for Colombia and Brazil for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 cohorts. Her research interests are focused on the intersection of land use and transportation integration, public participatory design, and procedural justice.
